Integrated Baby Therapy & Birth Integration
Birth is a profound Sacred ‘Rite of Passage’, this experience is Universal, one we all have been through “ Being Born”
The precious portal of how we enter into the world is completely unique to us. More than often no time, or attention is given to process the birth experience integrate and heal.
Integrated Baby Therapy (IBT)
IBT is for newborns, infants and young children. Listening to the babies story, we can begin to uncover the underlying prenatal or birth story that might still be unresolved. Because of this babies can often be presenting with restlessness, poor sleep, colic agitation, unconsolable crying and feeding problems.
This work and approach is based on decades of research in the field of pre and perinatal psychology. It recognises that the nervous system carries the imprints.
Sessions are always permission based and parents will be part of the process being consulted informed throughout. Each session will be unique to the needs of the baby and family. the process may include creative play listening to the crying, distinguishing needs crying from memory crying. Babies will express the birthing experience through their bodies, often showing us repeated movements, with attuned listening using the skill of mirroring the babies movements, cries and expression, they begin to feel heard and the stuck charges can start to release.
Sessions are in person at my home practise in Sussex.
